How to Make Twitter Header

Before, big thanks to @aisharissa for let me post this tutorial of making header.
And big thanks for her tumblr greysonrocks.tumblr.com for posted the tutorial.

So here’s the tutorial of making a twitter header and it’s pretty easy if you know basic photoshop skills.

Step 1: Make a new document.

Step 2: open two pictures and drag them to the canvas

Step 3: resize the image using CTRL + T

when you’re resizing the image, make sure to select the link between the percentages.

Step 4: after resizing the images, sharpen them

Step 5:  to delete the unwanted parts of the image, use the rectangular marquee tool. select the parts that you want to be seen in the header

Right click over the selection and click “select inverse”
press the delete button on your keyboard
after that, press CTRL + D to deselect

Step 6: add a new layer and select the brush tool

Paint the center of the canvas with the brush tool. you’re free to choose the color. for my header, i use black (#000000)

Step 7: put this square thingy texture in the center of the header. to change the color, use the gradient map. both colors should be the same

To make sure that the texture is in the right position, save this tutorial’s header result. open it and drag it to your header and then put the texture in the exact position as mine. after that delete my header

and i usually add bevel and emboss (Layer > Layer Style > Bevel and Emboss) to the square thingy. here are my settings

step 8: add pattern fill or textures or the celebrity’s name if you want and also apply a PSD
